Also it’s storming pretty badly here so… I’m going to hide under the blankets until it stops so I can finish the stuff I have left to do for today. Bye!
I have the saddest main reason ever for wanting to go on dates:
Everything’s expensive and I’m sad that I can’t afford to treat myself. Loneliness and then a desire for remotely romantic interaction come at a very far second.
I think I may have found some DCU audiobooks.
Will let y’all know if they’re the real deal and not some one reading them out of their basement (see my failed attempt at reading Inheritance).
@Silencing
All they have is part one of Infinite Crisis and they don’t technically have it (they have it as “currently unavailable” which can mean anything from out to lost in the sands of time). Thank you for suggesting it though!
(Unfortunately, we don’t have a very good library system here. I’d honestly have an easier time getting the audiobooks if I was still on campus because the collegiate system of trades and stuff is miles better than the public system.)
This is an example of how they don’t do enough to make media accessible imo:
There are 25 DC audiobooks on the graphic audio website (which is pretty official btw). All of them are $13 each for an MP3 download. Several of those books are split in two so you can’t just get one because you won’t get the full event.
All day over on my serious blog I’ve been talking seriously about piracy and how companies don’t do enough to get to people who want to buy media but can’t afford it and well… here’s a really great example. I’d love to buy this and listen to 52 (for the Renee bits), but that’s $26 right there and I can’t afford that at all. (I don’t know many people in my position that could tbh)
Hence me trying and praying very hard that the powers that be drop a download link somewhere nearby as I go googling.
betaraybob replied to your post: Where on earth do I find comic book audio books to…
Do those exist? This is literally the first I’ve heard of them…
They do exist! See:

(Those are from graphicaudio.net but I’m sure they’re elsewhere)
Unfortunately, $13 a pop isn’t something I can afford atm
Where on earth do I find comic book audio books to listen to/download?
Children grow up so fast. One of my brothers has twins and like… they’re almost eleven. Last I checked, they were itty bitty babies. I can’t stand it. They’re so cute (even though they’re growing up and I shouldn’t coddle them). Gosh. Preteens.
So many things to do
No motivation to write any of them
(at least my to-do list this week is only 5 things even if one of those things is supposed to be HUGE)
